Photo Glassworks

There is something so calm and connected about the images that Tracey Antonik of Photo Glassworks uses for her pendants. They make me feel good, free, connected to life! Maybe because I'm a lover of nature...or maybe because birds make me think of flight and freedom...or...maybe because I'm a weirdo. Whatever the reason you should really take a peek at her Etsy Shop. The pendants she carries are carefully constructed using glass and wire, and feature not only birds, but trees, and other natural scenes and intricate designs. She also works in collaboration with other artists for some of the designs! I also happen to think that they make beautiful gifts for the upcoming holidays!

Cance on Etsy by Kelly McCollum

I found this lovely Esty shop by clicking on one of the newest items on the main page. I was instantly struck by her pencil drawings! You can choose the sizes, and if you send her photos and nicknames of your favorite animal pals, she will transform them into portraits of your best friends! Not limited to those of the canine persuasion...she is willing and able to also sketch cats, birds, gerbils or any other animals that you share your abode with! Please stop by and see Cance's shop, as she also carries some eclectic vintagey jewelry, and a few beautiful digital photos!

The price range for a pet portrait are roughly as follows:

General prices:
4x6" = $10
5x7" = $12
8x10" = $15

A small price to pay for a beautiful portrait of a most loved pet! I am thinking of having a portrait of our boys done:

"Felix"
"Oscar"

Rae's Creations Back on Etsy for a Limited Time!

I can't lie, I design jewelry myself, but covet the very pieces that Rae's Creations creates!!! They are so balanced, and seem so simple, but it's not easy to create with a less is more mantra. By letting the stones speak for themselves, Rae creates timeless, beautiful jewelry with and organic feel...that you feel good wearing...and that you will always love. She has recently taken a hiatus from Etsy, and this week released some pieces she was working on...get them while they last you never know when the next sale will be! I am actually a bit worried here, that the pieces I love may go before I have time to buy them!...Take a look at these pieces below, and then check out the shop...also check out her fairly new blog!

A Sweet Magpie on Etsy!

Ok, so I confess, my name is Kristen, and I am really just a shop-a-holic...but a very specific kind. I love all things handmade and can never seem to stop looking at and pouring over and coveting all of the beauteous things that are being made out there. See if all the creative people just stopped making things...I'd have a savings account...8)

My point being...I had found a new pair of earrings awhile ago, and favorited them on Etsy, and then of course because they are amazing, they were featured on the main page, and so then I HAD to buy them...8)

They are the Medusa Earrings by "A Sweet Magpie" on Etsy. And whereas you cannot have THESE earrings...because they are MINE MINE MINE...I mean...because I now own them...there are many more wonderful vintagey finds in her shop so please stop by and see them before someone else buys them all!!!

"Cherries and Cream Bracelet" $26

Chearrings Jewelry

I have to admit, being a jewelry designer myself, I often indulge in the work of other jewelry designers! Sure, there are things I could try to make, but...they are so beautiful...and so well done, that sometimes I just WANT THEM! Plus...as I've said before...I rationalize it easier...because I am helping a fellow artist! 8)

I am partial to Chearrings earring collections, they are feminine and beautiful and also make a statement. I love the hoops and the long and lean earrings like the three pairs I've chosen below. It is apparent that a lot of thought goes into each of the designs. Aside from all of this...they are incredibly reasonable considering the time and effort I know it takes to make each set! Please stop by her online store, and browse you won't be disappointed!

Jewelry & Objects by Simone Walsh

I was looking for some flowering things, feeling like it was too cold here again to be spring...and I came across Simone Walsh. Her jewelry is light and feminine and earthy all at the same time. I love the simple delicate details her pieces have, and the clean lines and textures. I could easily see myself wearing many of the pieces and definitely would think of them for a gift or two! Please visit her shop and take a look at my personal favorites below!

Ah Jewelry!

If you are looking for something a little "flighty" this Spring, I think I may have found your new addiction at Ah Jewelry. These birdy earrings from Ah Jewelry are the best of both worlds, while big and bold but also light and comfy they are easy to wear and make a unique statement for day or nighttime wear. Colorful and well balanced on the ear, the only downside is they're pretty delicate, no shoving these in your pocket or your purse!! The "Tusk" neckalces are also fun and flirty while walking a little on your wild side...take a peek, there's plenty to choose from, necklaces, and earrings to float into Springtime with!

Nidia Sophia Jewelry

I first came across this talented jewelry designer on ebay, and have been coveting her pieces ever since! From the delicate, etherial earrings to her long detailed necklaces there is a piece of jewelry for everone on Nidia Sophia's site! Part of her belief is that "...there are many different kinds of beauty and that everyone’s individual beauty is best represented when allowed to be expressed in its natural state..." I have picked a few of my favorites below...but you should really go see for yourself!

Coquito Designs

I am really excited about this new line that I am coming out with. They are affordable and fun vintage lucite necklaces! I was trying to mix old and new in a modern and easy to wear way...and came up with these pieces. Most are made with brushed vermeil beads and vintage lucite, I just like the juxtaposition of the materials. I am still working on bracelets, and earrings, and some designs in silver also...but I would appreciate any feedback you might have! They will be part of my new spring line. I have a few on the Coquito Designs site for now...more to come!
Thanks for looking!
Sorry about the shameless plug...but it IS friday...8)

I found Ananda Khalsa about a year or so ago, and was so taken with her work that I now own 4 pieces! They are quality pieces made with the utmost care and attention to every detail no matter how small. Calm, beautiful jewelry that is inspiring and full of meaning. Asian-inspired, mini, one-of-a-kind water color paintings are carefully set behind glass and set into sterling silver to create earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings and even pins!. If you have not been to her site please take a peek, there are many wonderful things to be found there!
